Dear Families,

LifeSavers is a unique programme for primary schools to encourage and support young savers. At Dunalley, students have the opportunity to regularly save money during weekly banking sessions, run by parent volunteers.

The emphasis is on saving regularly, rather than the amount of money, to help foster positive behaviours in relation to money.

We’re back (again)!

We are delighted to be able to bring back the Dunalley LifeSavers scheme.  It might not look and feel the same as last year but it is still an excellent way to save money and get into good saving habits!

We have put a lot of thought into how this will work but please bear with us if we have to make some tweaks over the next few weeks.

From Friday 14th May, the process will be as follows:

  • Fridays – Bring your money and LifeSavers Passbook in the plastic wallet provided and drop them in the locked post box on your way in to school.
    • Infants – your post box will be next to one of the Welcome Teachers before you enter
    • Juniors – your post box will be just inside the gates to the field as you enter

ê  Please make sure your money is secure in an envelope or bag before it goes into your LifeSavers wallet

  • The Parent Banker will collect all LifeSaver wallets from the school office, count and pay in the students’ money.
  • Wednesdays – LifeSaver wallets will be returned to students with their Passbooks updated.

Every effort will be taken to ensure the health and safety of both LifeSavers and the Parent Banker.
