Nursery and Pre-school

Welcome to Dunalley Nursery and Pre-school
Dunalley Primary School benefits fromits very ownnursery and pre-school, situated within the school. There are three purpose-built rooms, including a kitchen area and cloakrooms designed for young children. The children have access to a fantastic secure outside area which leads into our Forest School field and bike track, all surrounded by trees and a range of wildlife. We are able to build strong links with Reception as we are next to their the outside space.
This will create a smooth transition for children as they move from Nursery and Pre-School into Reception.
The Nursery and Pre-School, as part of the school community, have access to the school hall, playing field and adventure playground.

We understand that young children learn best through play and have designed the spaces so children have access to a range of high-quality resources, that engage, stimulates and extends their learning, supported and guided by highly qualified and experienced Early Years teachers and practitioners.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, supported by Birth to 5 Matters. Through this we build a foundation that ignites children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. The following link outlines the key areas of learning and development for parents and carers.
